A330-900NEO Random Uncontrollable Hard Bank Left and Dive - XBOX

Hi all,

I've just purchased and downloaded the A330-900NEO. I love it, especially the livery selections. However, several times, seemingly at random, the plane will bank hard left and down, putting the plane in an uncontrollable dive towards the ground. When this happens it does not respond to input and is not recoverable. It happens on autopilot and hand flying. I'm playing on Xbox with an Xbox controller.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I’ve had the same issue

All ok, at 15 NM before destiny airport.

A/P on, 165 knots and position 3 flaps.

Suddenly the plane turns to the left and down and crash.

Using Xbox controller too.

I’ve had the same problem as a320 with blocked altitude.

Also I’ve noticed that Idle to reverse is not proportional on Xbox controller. If you push B button reverse go full inmediately. Also the speed of throttle control is a bit fast (with Xbox controller too).

I’ve had some problems to land this plane in general.


Some question I’ll be pleased to answer.

P.d.: total flight time at the end of each flight is for all planes or each plane has its own times?

This is different to the original poster. It seems you were low and landing, what was your weight?

I don’t remember the weight.

I had aprox 45% of fuel.

Speed was set at 160 knots but speed is going down slowly. It seems that A/THR is not working well…

Exactly!! Only 15 NM left to landing.

I set the speed on 160 knots to decrease manually, but speed is going down and down slowly! As you said, power is up.

Estaba a 15nm del aeropuerto de destino. El A/THR estaba activado y tenía la velocidad ajustada a 160 nudos para ir bajando manualmente.

A pesar de esto, el avión empieza a perder velocidad lentamente, sin embargo, los motores están aumentando potencia.

Ese es el motivo por el que cae el avión, entra en pérdida.

Ok! I’ll try adjusting the fuel (this time I forgot to adjust. It was a short flight to try).

must be a wing stalling. Are you following the FD? and what flaps are you using, please check your flap retraction speeds.

The plane very heavy and wrongly configured could stall at low altitudes when speed is not optimal.

In this instance it was climbing, on autopilot and auto throttle, approx 12,000 feet, and travelling at 300ish knots. Flaps were set to 0.

oh ok this is very odd. Many hours of testing and it did not happen.
Was it on autopilot? probably a controller device issue?

This has happened to me too. I'm using a velocity one yoke. It was very random and not a power on stall. Seems to be a bug.

I adjusted the fuel and I’ve completed two flights.

Except some little issues that will be fixed, the flights were ok.

First flight was LEZL - LEMD (to try low altitude) and the second was EGKK - LEMD. Both landings with about 15% fuel.

In the image can see the plane just arrived to Madrid from London!!

I think this will be a great plane!!

It Happened the same with me i have a video recorded in the final approach. The aircraft all of sudden banks to the right. Im use XBOX and I have Thrustmaster Airbus and the plane was on AP
