A319/A321 door config update

Post by alxvown » Mon Sep 26, 2022 2:23 am

I love the new A319 and A321N; however, is there any chance we could see an update in the future with proper door configs depending on the airline? Aer Lingus, Delta, Easyjet and many other airlines have other door configs than what the current product provides us. Just wondering if there was any chance we could see these different configs in the future?

Hi, adding different doors is not as simple as it seems.
We would need to rebuild the exterior and re-texture it and interior model and that's a lot of work that currently we can't do.

Each door has a transparent windows, which makes it more complicated and we would need to redesign everything.

We apologize for this but at present we can't promise doing this.

I can't speak to the A321 because I don't yet have it, but on the A319 are you referring to how the 2L door opens automatically along with the 1L door? I was also wondering if that is something that could be disconnected (i.e. only the 1L door opens when the jetbridge is attached) seeing as having rear doors open is super uncommon in US airline operations.
