can offer you to remove that file, but that runway won't be usable
not the best way :(
maybe you can reduce the size of the linked textures and more importantly, the quantity of polygons for this model...

The problem is not the textures. The issue here is that the polygons that make the landable platform cause performance issues on some systems.

I'd certainly be OK without the sloped/elevated surface if it improves performance; maybe a low quality option that just has a flat runway on the regular airport surface.

I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there -- the point of the scenery is to have a representation of FLL that is both high fidelity and functional, and it seems like the way you initially tackled the sloped runway is failing on both counts. The runway slope transitions are too sharp/sudden, and there are too many "potholes" in the taxiway slope and the runway slope, and the performance impact of the sloped runway section is severe.

Using the airport with the sloped runway disabled makes it basically unusable for online flying, but I see many people here posting the same thing I am: that they can't use it with the sloped runway enabled.

I emailed you and you addressed my complaint in your fashion, and I appreciated it, but please also take into consideration that because there is a limited amount of P3D scenery development teams and a huge amount of airports to do, it is likely that because you've done FLL no one else is going to do it. I am begging you to please revisit how you built the sloped runway and either offer a flattened version or see if you can find out a better way to do it. Please!

Hi, the best thing then will be to offer a flattened version. So that's something we will have to do in order to provide with an option for some folks.

And as for these reports of having issues. I completely understand that if a few people have issues more will too. But this product has hundreds of purchased units, I will go as far as to say it was the most sold airport in 2020 for P3D, and the fact that some customers have complained about it doesn't mean the product merits an urgent revision.

It is serious and we take all comments, and complaints seriously. We will have to find a way into scheduling work on an update offering a flattened version, we will report that on this forum.

Well, I obviously can't speak for your whole userbase, but I can tell you that I help run a virtual airline that is based on a US operator with a lot of operations out of FLL and the fact that your FLL scenery isn't usable is a very frequent topic on our Discord among our P3D users. Those of us that have both P3D and XP fly out of FLL in XP almost exclusively. A lot of folks are probably buying your scenery through other storefronts, too, like SimMarket, and may not even know to come here to read about it or post about it, but I've been watching these forums ever since I first bought it hoping to see something about an update and every time I come back to check I see new posts about FLL performance and the sloped runway.

I appreciate you saying you will consider making a flattened version. Of course the most preferred outcome would be a sloped version that works! I'm not a scenery developer, but I do wonder if there's an alternate solution for that runway that would fix the performance and the bumpiness. If not, flattened would be most welcome!

Hi, we would love to fix these issues. I think the first attempt will be to fix the actual runway, and work from there. Thanks for your feedback, will let you know on any update coming up on this soon.
