Trouble climbing

Post by Birdy1998 » Mon Apr 03, 2023 2:56 pm

I have the a318, a319, a321neo and now a320, each one I have trouble climbing to the altitude. When I take off, it locks at 95% thrust and in the air it locks at 88% thrust, as soon as I get to about 25,000 feet it slows all the way down and then stalls, is there something I’m doing wrong or is it an issue that others are experiencing, everything else is brilliant.

Hi, you need to allow the plane to have and achieve a climb speed, so it can follow it accordingly.

For our aircraft currently after 10k you need to set speed to something between 300 to 320kts, and ideally for now use it on OPEN CLIMB so the plane climbs at that speed. Usually it should take between 15 to 23 minutes to reach FL370

I have auto throttle take over as soon as I take off and reduce the throttles to the climb detent. I use the managed speed setting on the AP panel. I then engage AP once I hit 10,000 ft and she climbs just fine. The managed speed setting does set for 320 kts once I start climbing above 10,000. All of the Airbus aircraft I use, including the default a320, do this. Then I find myself at cruising altitude in no time.
