First, I just want to say I'm absolutely in love with the new product! I've been fortunate to own most of the products you put out and have enjoyed all of them! Just one simple question and it's no big deal but still had me curious. Some of the textures, specifically the signs appear to have lower resolution. Are there any plans to upgrade these to something more high res? Thanks for any info you can share!

Re: Hi-Res image updates?
Hi, we tried experimenting with higher resolution images but they take huge amount of VRAM.
We can certainly take a look into this you mention for an update without affecting VRAM or performance.

HEYYY!
The OP has a point and I'll tell you why. (This is not a diss post, I am a fan and supporter)
I just bought KFLL, on the merits of KMIA, because I knew the developer cared about the standard of his work when they got a slap on YouTube and the only reason I even bought KMAI in the first place was because you made good on the critisism, unlike some other addon scenery builders out there churning out rubbish.
You literally craft these airports, by hand, and not only that you add stuff you don't really need to such as extra downtown buildings, and other stuff and a lot of it, love went into the creation and it shows, BUT
Some of those textures could use an upgrade, the main terminal sign "welcome to FLL" could use a bump.
This is what happened to me, please hear me out.
I love Florida, there's only two main airports that are worth buying, KMIA and KFLL (consider making the Orlando airports please) So my copilot and I started out in the Arrow IV Turbo on one of the general aviation parking spots, right outside the Sheltair building, So I immediately go into "Showcase" and step out of the plane and my heart sank. (A bit like my heart sank when I bought an addon for Marathon from some other scenery builder) So my first impression of KFLL were these really really bad outbuilding textures probably left in from the port over from FSX?
Of course then you go around checking everything (do not get me wrong, it's so easy to pick out little things and overlook the bigger picture which is the masterpiece. Overall, KFLL is amazing, I have mentioned it in other posts how I feel about your work, but please do not go down the route of "others" and ignore that it's 2021, this is MSFS2020, not 2004, there is no reason to use shockingly low resolutions and you cannot blame VRAM.
The front doors on the Sheltair building, some other outbuildings, I think need attention (when you can) not by just turning 128 x 128 into a 256, add some sharpening, no...redo them, remake them to the standards of MSFS default at the very least.
It should look like a shop front, not a pixelated hell and these generic higher res textures can then be distributed between all your addons for generic, or outbuildings etc. I am not going to go into everything I checked out, that is not going to help, but just an acknowledgement that at some point you would consider it is a start.
I might even check that out myself and see about modding the low res stuff myself (for personal use) because it's important, I have a diamond in KFLL (and KMIA) they just need a little polish in some places that's all.
Bless you, keep doing what you do and don't take this little gripe as negative criticism, we all only want the best right?

Re: Hi-Res image updates?
Hi, we are going to be doing a major update to KMIA, and will address much of what this customer mentioned. As for KFLL, will take a look at fixing certain texture issues mentioned too. thanks!jojimbo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 4:16 amHEYYY!

Re: Hi-Res image updates?
It's not everything, the addon is an absolute must have. I noticed your problem trying to upgrade any textures as most are laid out on 2048 bases, so you simply could not just bump them all up to 4096 for obvious reasons, we got about 10 4096's for the ground base in there anyway so yes, indeed, we need to conserve VRAM if these are being used and there you are absolutely right.
Maybe a way around it is to take some of the outlying outbuildings near the ATC tower and re-uv them to their own 2048 base space. No worries as it would take another herculean job you made with the airport to unravel this one. Thanks for listening and I live in hope of more Florida sceneries.
