Autopilot can't maintain altitude

Post by from_the_mount » Sun Oct 30, 2022 5:11 pm

Hi Team LVFR,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you a lot for all the hard work.
I'm an Xbox series X simmer and I don't know whether the issue is related to my testing the Sim Update 11 Beta or to the Airbus A321neo's latest update but I have recently noticed that the aeroplane has not been able to maintain altitude (either in climb, cruise, descent or approach). About thirty seconds after I stop using the controller's joystick, the plane goes 180 feet below the set altitude or the climb/descent profile and gains some speed. As soon as I use the joystick again, the plane reaches the altitude and slows down and back and forth.
I have tried everything I can think of within the aircraft but nothing seems to work. Have you got any ideas?
I have to add that it does not happen all the time. I would say eigthy per cent.

Here is a photo of the PFD for you to better understand:

Thank you in advance!
Antoine

make sure you have altimeter set to STD.

At that altitude you should be in FL.

Thanks Ricardo but it already is! https://ibb.co/5KR3JNy
So I don't know what is causing it. I have even tried with the auto-trim on and off but neither works. And there is the same issue with the 319ceo...
I would say it started a week ago.

The issue is with open and managed climb/descent, in cruise and approach. As soon as I use the joystick it is back to normal ...
Thank you! I will try with the default 320neo on my side.

I have tried everything and the last solution of which I could think was an issue with my controller. And that's it! I have just used another one and the autopilot is all right. Thank you again for your quick answers :D
