A321 poor climb and ground speed

Post by Coopercok » Sun Oct 09, 2022 3:00 pm

The A321 seems to have had an issue the last few weeks. Trying to get to take off speed takes for ever, climb rate when you finally do take off trys to stall. Almost impossible to take off on shorter runways.... Then getting past 30000ft plus in managed is also near impossible. Could you take a look. Xbox

Hi,

you need to keep in mind MSFS loads the plane full of payload and 50% fuel capacity. Shorter runways can be a challenge. We suggest you either do flaps 2 takeoff or don't allow the autothrust to limit the engines on takeoff because that's what they do with the base A320neo asobo.

As for climb rates, how exactly are you climbing? because if you leave it at managed mode after 10Kft you will climb at 320kts till crossover which will then switch to .78. Above FL300 might be slower due to higher altitude but you definitely will reach you cruise level, at least eventually depending on your gross weight.
