Hello, I was just playing around with my settings on a new system, I saw almost no impact when at KFLL and facing north, then was at KMIA facing south and no impact too.
Then I realized that the slider AUTOGEN AND SCENERY DRAW DISTANCE slider was in "MEDIUM", if I moved it to the right to DENSE, KMIA will pop up, or KFLL if you are at KMIA.
So a good solution so you don't have to use the "KMIA exclude" on the KFLL config is this. In fact I would recommend you set the draw distance to medium and its not necessary to use the KMIA exclude.
You will have zero impact if you set this like that. I encourage everyone to have it like this:
Edit:
The reason people have performance issues either in KFLL or KMIA, is because you may have both active. And because both are too close, they load up if you have that slider like that.

Any news on the exclude for FLL. I guess I kinda stepped in it, when I bought FLL today, and watched my sim come to a choppy near stop when both airports come into view. Little buyers remorse at that point, especially since I mainly bought FLL for the city scenery. I guess given the choice, I'd rather not see FLL than MIA if I had to exclude one. Sad that we have to though. I empathize with another user where I have commercial scenery combined for other very tight areas of the US such as San Francisco, New York, and Southern CA.

We did not publish an update to KMIA with an exclude because it did not work, the way that P3d activates scenery we placed the exclude on the KMIA folder and it did not work because people might have KFLL in higher priority in the scenery library it did not do its intended effect.medx421 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 7:29 amAny news on the exclude for FLL. That's why we asked you to do what we ask in this thread. In all honesty I see almost no difference flying with that slider like that.
In any case, the other way to exclude just KFLL airport, you can download and install the attached file. Copy/paste to any where in your system and then activate in the scenery library.
That will only exclude KFLL airport, you will have the ports and downtown.
