KFLL sloped runway issues

Post by piedmonitor » Sat Jan 16, 2021 7:28 pm

Hello,
I just bought KFLL yesterday. Even with mesh resolution to 1m, the sloped runways are causing me lots of problems -- there are bumps and holes and lumps and dips making taxiing around and taking off/landing extremely... challenging. I'd like to know if there's a way to flatten the airport? I've seen in another thread here that someone was able to disable the sloped file but then they had texture issues, and it seemed like that conversation never went anywhere, so I'm hoping there is a way I can just flatten the airport and have everything work otherwise.

As a general note I have to say that my FPS at this scenery even with almost all the options turned off is significantly worse than many other sceneries I have, including very large airports like EGLL, KORD, EDDM, etc.

Hi, the bumps are normal for FS/P3d because aircraft are designed to work on flat surfaces. Making uneven ground a challenging thing to do for aircraft in P3d.

The performance issues, something must have happened recently for this to cause problems, a new addon perhaps, because we are getting more reports recently about this. Email us to give you a solution.
