KFLL Elevation Issue (resolved)

Post by pgde » Mon Aug 24, 2020 7:12 pm

Any idea why this has elevation problems? Am not an ORBX user, but do use Toposim Mesh. No problems with any other LatinVFR airport (which I own a number of). Win10 v2004, 4k resolution, 1080ti video card.

Many thanks.

Hi, can you please do another picture with higher resolution? I am trying to look into it to no avail.

Hi, this is strange, can you disable the toposim mesh just to check? The airport has a higher altitude due to the sloped runway, so as P3d airports are flat, it makes it look as the entire airport is elevated flat at the highest point of the sloped runway.

See attached. Nothing loaded except default files and KFLL (including the sloped file). I just tried without the sloped files and no change from the picture below.

This is quite odd, it is as if our flatten is not working, how many files do you have in p3d/Fort Lauderdale/KFLL/scenery?

Hi sorry for the delay.

The elevation in KFLL is the default FSX world is set to be 65feet, but that's because the top of the sloped runway is 65 feet ASL. The aprons in KFLL are at 5 feet ASL. So it seems that somewhere the elevation of KFLL was edited to be 65 feet and despite our flatten which appears not to work. So there is an AFX that is overriding our file. Its not Toposim, so I don't know if UT live has AFX files, does it?
