So clearly AI traffic is causing an issue, if you disable LEMD completely and leave the default, how much FPS would you get?infomaniac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 10:57 pmI tried with the lower acceptable settings (Display 1024x1024 - AA 2xMSAA - Anisotropic 4x - Dynamic reflections off - No shadows - No HDR - No dynamic lighting).
Without AI traffic : around 60 fps
With AI traffic : 7 fps (divided by almost 10 !)
These results are the same either with complex aircrafts or with the default Piper Cub.

You're right. The FPS is around 60 fps with the default scenery.
But I notice that, when loading the scenery, the surrounding and the plane shows normaly, then it became entirely black, then it loads each texture step by step. Sometimes, it doesnt finish to load the textures (although the fps are around 60 fps).

Yes that depends on the graphics card. But now you can disrigard our LEMD as the culprit, the AI traffic package is.infomaniac wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 1:35 amYou're right. The FPS is around 60 fps with the default scenery.

Re: P3Dv4.5 LEMD Performance
Actually, I found the solution : because I was testing something with the add-on.xml method, I've remove every files in the "Effects" root folder of P3D (by moving them temporarily to an other folder), and I forgot to place them back
Once, I've done so, my fps climb between 25 and almost 90 fps depending of my shadow configuration and my texture size.
Anyway, thanks for your help. I learn a lot about the impact of the texture size and the shadows.
