P3Dv4.5 LEMD Performance

Hey, yesterday I bought LEMD and LEBL. So far so good I did my first flight inbound to LEMD and the performance really was horrendous Usually I'm somewhere in the 20fps to 30fps range, also at add on airports (Barcelona works like a charm for example) but in Madrid I only have like 12 fps which makes it a bit... less enjoyable the least. So I pretty much turned the settings down in Prepar3D (less antialiasing, less LOD Radius, less Autogen density etc.) Didn't really improve. Turned pretty much everything off in the config... Didn't improve. Now, at Barcelona I have perfect performance, even at PILOTS Alicante I have a very good performance (I'd say that airport is pretty demanding) Anyway. My system is a AMD Ryzen 5 3600X CPU, 32GB DDR4 and a Zotac Geforce GTX970 4GB. Now, I've seen that at LEMD the Graphics Card is pretty much at 100%. Not good. But I think it shouldn't be that way, as it works pretty well for all my other airports (also in combination with Aircraft Addons). Long story short, is there something I can do, or will I need to just deal with it, which would be a shame as the airport scenery itself really looks stunning.

Unfortunately, yes. And it did not really better anything. I mean I understand that the Airport is huge and very detailed, but on other very nice scenerys it works flawless for me as well. Them being something like FlyTampa Dubai or Flightbeam San Francisco. Any other advice as to disable something specific or so? I mean I've heard that the performance would be really good with this airport so I kinda suspect that I'm a minor here.

Hi, a huge difference here with those airports you mention is PBR. Those you mention don't have it, and it may have a significant impact on your system.

Even if you put dynamic reflections to NONE you get this problem? texture size to 1024x1024?

Hi, setting the texture to 1024x1024 seems to might have fixed this. I'll report when it still persists. Thank you so much so far

I have some performance troubles too at LEMD with P3D v4.5 with my PC configuration.

What I found is that when I put the default graphic settings, I have around 60 fps (traffic at 0 %).
In that scenario, I have my graphic card running at 100 %.

But, if I only turn the AI traffic on (I use AIG - AI Manager), my fps drops at around 10, and the graphic card usage drops at 30 % ?!?!? I would expect the CG would continue to run at 100 % ...

Is there a specific issue (in terms of graphic card resources management) when you combine PBR sceneries and AI traffic ?

Because of that, I'm unable to combine a LatinVFR PBR scenery (LEMD or KMIA v5) with AI traffic, making the sim very less enjoyable ...

Yes I have (it's the default value for the default graphic settings).

It's like PBR + AI traffic is disabling all the graphic capacities.

Ok so its PBR, then have dynamic reflections at NONE.

I tried with the lower acceptable settings (Display 1024x1024 - AA 2xMSAA - Anisotropic 4x - Dynamic reflections off - No shadows - No HDR - No dynamic lighting).

Without AI traffic : around 60 fps
With AI traffic : 7 fps (divided by almost 10 !)

These results are the same either with complex aircrafts or with the default Piper Cub.
