LEMD Runway Operation (resolved)

Post by ScottecLEMD » Sat Dec 28, 2019 11:13 am

Hi Again,

One reason I purchased this product was the fact the sim would use the correct runways for landing and departure. Can you explain further how this works? For Aerosoft I always had to configure North or South operation and hope that the wind direction did not change before my arrival.

I´ve noticed this morning that with a very light and variable wind I have aircraft landing and departing on runway 36L -which would never happen.

Look forward to the explanation.

Thanks

Ken

Hi, we fixed with the hotfix, did you install it? it should be under your downloads.

The hotfix will do the correct configuration for landings and takeoff based on wind. Let me know

Hi Ricardo,

Yes, I installed the hot fix right after installing the main programme. I'm also running the latest P3D V4.5.13.32097 which includes the latest hotfix, all installed after a clean Windows and P3D install.

Thanks

With the Hotfix you won't get landing and departing on both 36L/R.

So its quite strange.

If the wind is variable, it believes the wind is from the north, so north operations will be present. That's with Active Sky.

I just did a check with the current wind you have NORTH operations right now at LEMD, so with our scenery you are getting the accurate configuration with departures on 36'sR/L and landings on 32's

Hi Ricardo,

Yes wind is from the North but RWY 36L and 36R are never used for landing; this is what is unique about LEMD.

North operations means:-

Departing traffic- 36L/36R, Arriving traffic - 32L/32R

South operations means:-

Departing traffic- 14L/14R, Arriving traffic - 18L/18R

In my scenario above I have aircraft landing and departing RWY 36L and 36R. I also have aircraft departing RWY 14L and 14R while aircraft are on final to RWY 32L and 32R so something is not correct.

Thanks

Hi, with our hotfix installed, confirm you downloaded the hotfix and installed, if not send us a private message and we will send you the link.

With the P3dv4.5 hotfix it should work unless there is another AFX file causing conflict and overwriting our AFX file. Uninstall any other LEMD you have.

Hi I replied to you, but confirm you have this HOTFIX which is HF 2

https://www.prepar3d.com/news/2019/09/115750/

for it to work that's the hotfix you need.

Hi Ricardo,

Sorry for the confusion on the zip file, I was looking at KSAN. Anyway, below you can see screenshots of my LEMD download, my P3D install which confirms latest version with HF2 and also the scenery layers.

I did a completely clean install of Windows 10 followed by clean install of all other software and now I am building up my P3D again. All disks were formatted prior to reinstall.

I have not loaded the sim today but will do later on. Weather today is almost a repeat of yesterday.

Appreciate the help.

Saludos,

Ken

Hi, sure you let me know, even if the wind changes for the south config, you should not have aircraft landing and departing from one same runway. Let me know
