LVFR A340-300 SOME PROBLEMS
LVFR A340-300 SOME PROBLEMS
I know it's not easy to make an airplane, but I have to point out that it's not convenient for the production team to fix these issues. Firstly, the nose wheel steering is severely insufficient. When turning 90 degrees, the parking brake and dual engine thrust must be used to complete it. Secondly, the modeling inside the cockpit is not good. I hope that as a paid model, the production team can put some effort into creating a better model for this model. Thirdly, there is a huge gap in the display of all screens compared to reality or the TOLISS A340. Even if not compared to them, the modeling of screens has a huge gap compared to the default A320 produced by the ASOBO production team for MFS. As a paid aircraft model, this needs to be criticized. 3. It is not user-friendly for the A320 throttle component of the Tumaster. If the A340 thrust component needs to be used, the Tumaster needs to be switched to Boeing's control option (i.e. losing the REV position of the Tumaster). 4. The use of most buttons or functions has significant limitations, such as most buttons being unavailable and CPDLC being unavailable. 5. Modeling of some buttons, such as MCDU buttons, is not realistic enough. 6. The initial state of MCDU needs to be modified, such as the built-in CALLSIGN and FLEX. 6. Many functions of MCDU need to be improved.

Re: LVFR A340-300 SOME PROBLEMS
Hello Kita664!
We appreciate your feedback on the A340. Apologies it hasn't met some of your expectations. However, we're continuing to work on all of the aircraft in our lineup. Right now, an update to the avionics has taken priority, so other things will be addressed in time once that update has been released.
In the meantime, for the ground steering, the issue has been reported by other users. I am by no means intending to insult anyone's intelligence on the matter by saying this, but the aircraft is very large and heavy (610000 lbs max gross weight). Taxiing at a high speed will cause the front gear to skid if it is turned sharply. The Flight Simulator 2020 engine detects skids based on factors such as weight, contact points of the landing gear, and aircraft geometry data. However, there are workarounds by editing parameters in the config files.
If you're familiar with editing the flight_model.cfg, you can try changing the yaw_gyro_stability = 1 (under the [FLIGHT_TUNING] section) to yaw_gyro_stability = 0. Make sure to make a backup of this file just in case. Also, be sure to save it as the .cfg and not a .txt file. This may cause the aircraft to turn quicker, but it will be less realistic for the size of the aircraft.
Report back if this workaround improves your experience with the ground steering.

Re: LVFR A340-300 SOME PROBLEMS
You should be able to find it in...
\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\lvfr-a340-300\SimObjects\Airplanes\lvfr-a340-300
The file is called flight_model.cfg. You can open it with notepad. Be sure to save a copy as a backup just in case.
When you make changes and save as, be sure to set the extension to ALL and overwrite the original, so that it saves as the .cfg and not a .txt file.
I would like to mention that, by doing this, you accept all risk involved with the file causing the aircraft not to load or crash. So please make the backup before making an changes. This is not intended on being an official fix, as those are released by Ricardo through an official update.
