TJSJ

Post by djhab » Mon May 06, 2024 1:11 pm

Xbox

After the Caribbean World terrain update...

1. The taxi way signs appear floating on both runways

2. The tiles are off in some areas of the airport. Specially the parking and roadway areas near the main entrance.

3. The Teodoro Moscoso bridge should have some lights at night.

ILS for runways 8 and 10 are way off.

You should fix this airport which is already paid for and you keep neglecting.

I've put many request to fix issues in this airport including the runway signs which appear floating in mid air .

But the ILS not working is just bad.

Hi, we decided a few months back to update TJSJ because users wanted us to remove our morro castle. Since then the amount of issues on TJSJ increased significantly. And now we have issues with the ILS. So fixing one thing has led to other issues.

Our team is working on something now and in a few weeks we will fix the ILS issue on TJSJ. Our apologies in the meantime.

In several forums I have brought to the attention that the TJSJ airport does not work with the ILS, the height of the airport is incorrect, there are uneven areas, especially the area where the runway 8 observatory is located, the area of the bridge taxi. This has been indicated for several months.

At this point we are probably better off waiting for a paid update or hopefully another developer bringing the airport to current scenery standards.

:(

They said they been working on it. ???

I still have hopes for the fixes. Right now the airport needs attention , not only for the graphics but for functionality.

Look in the forums for all the other requests for TJSJ, I opened one up and it was almost a year before the update came out to remove the morro and it broke everything else. Not sure how it made it pass testing, the terrain and ILS issues are pretty obvious. I have even tried fixing the bridge elevation issues myself in the SDK, but the bridges are tied together so there is no easy way to make one level without the other being out of place. I just went back to using an old version of the airport I had from my original Simmarket purchase for the sake of usability. The Xbox planes bring in more money so for now that's where their attention will remain. Sad but I don't blame them since TJSJ was a P3D port so trying to fix one thing seems to break another. If they would remake it from scratch, I would gladly pay for it, but this is what we have until then.

Will there be any fixes coming?

Hoping for no issues with TJSJ and MSFS 2024 by the way.
