US Destinations

Post by PC Pilot » Tue Sep 17, 2019 4:13 pm

Hello, all:

I’m a huge fan of the LVFR scenery addons and I have purchased all 13. It’s great work and for those of you who don’t have Roatan Island (MHRO) you’re missing a great addon. I started flying there quite a bit after installing it: just be careful on takeoff and landings :)

I understand it takes awhile to develop these addons and with the resurfacing of Microsoft in the flight sim world it makes this an interesting time indeed. But I’m curious if there is any long term plan for other major US cities?

While I would certainly LOVE to have KMCO, once KFLL is released that will be three airports in Florida for LVFR and there are two in California (San Diego & Orange County/John Wayne). I truly enjoy having the smaller airports but I’m hoping the future roadmap will include other locations such as KSTL, KIAH or KDFW, KPHX, KSEA, KBOS, KPHL, to name a few.

Currently I try to fly between the LVFR airports: KBWI-KRDU-KMIA-KMSY-KSAN and MHRO (occasionally I like to go to the smaller airports too like KEYW and KSNA). I purchased the overseas addons for long hauls.

Hopefully LVFR will consider some additional US destinations to expand the routes for short to medium haul aircraft like the Airbus A3XX series or the Boeing 737 lineup.

I love what you’ve done so far and I do look forward to the release of KFLL.

Hi thanks so much for your input.

Yes, US airports are our way to go, we are also exploring Europe. Florida as it is my home state I have I think worked with a lot, and KMCO since its now my home airport is also a probable contender in the future. Lets see, we have yet to plan our 2020 list so lets see. thanks!

How about KSMF. There's not one for P3D V4.5.

What happened to the known developer who was also planning on doing it?

Hi, actually KMCO is now my home airport, would love to do it, had it not been for a known developer that is actually planning on doing it.
Would be a shame to have two developers on the same airport. However Orlando does have another airport, it's called Sanford. Would that be a possibility?

Also excited that you're exploring Europe, even though a good deal of European airports have already been done or at least planned. Still there is enough to wish for.

That known developer has dropped plans, there is another developer but don't know what he is up to. Lets see next year, but I am very keen into doing it.

Ok then.

Maybe it's an idea to make this an "Orlando Airports" project, kind of Drzewiecki style only without the city itself (ORBX already took care of that). But I mean Orlando International, Orlando Sanford, Orlando Executive and possibly Kissimmee and Apopka. Then you got the whole Orlando area covered.

Well, sounds pretty ambitous, and perhaps we can do some 'lite' versions of the other airports, KMCO is a rather big and complex airport within itself.

I personally think you may want to include the surrounding area as some of us don’t like (or can pay for) Orbx scenery.

I like having the surrounding area as I don’t need to pay for additional scenery plus what has been included with KMIA and KMSY is very nice.

We always try to make our scenery look good without requiring any other 3rd party addons.
