A340

Post by Coopercok » Thu May 16, 2024 5:13 pm

Hi
Quite disappointed with this offering.
Seems like a copy and patter of the first A330.
OANS does not work as advertised!
Taillights don't work!
Climb rate way to high on managed mode.
It's your A320 with a different skin on it!

The OANS was a mistake on the wording and its fixed.

The tail lights do work, can you show us a picture?

climb rate is going to be high if you are lightly loaded.

I can assure you is not an A320, it does share a320neo default avionics, but its an A340

Logo lights turn on only when gear is down, once the gear is up they turn off. That's real life behavior.

HI, this is my second day flying the A343.
Its of far now, but a few bugs:

- MCDU -
Wrong ETA UTC on the destination when loads a the arrival, so all the fuel calculations are wrong.
When choose to change the FL Cruise Altitude, it doesnt change in all FP, and when you try to change in an specific waypoint it doesnt work.
Image
When you change the FL INIT ex. from 380 to 390 it automatically fly to FL390 without change to 390 in the AP (dangerous)
Image
In the NAV RAD page you cannot change the ILS COURSE and sometimes it is wrong, so it flyies with a displacement of the runway.
Fuel prediction page doesnt work.

The FL OPT and MAX CRZ doesnt work.

I would love to add more functions to the MCDU, it looks a little poor functionally
The ZFW and CG doest work properlly, either from SIMBRIEF (doesnt match) or when you want to change it manually.

The MCDU is the weakest part of the airplane

- OVERHEAD -
I would love to have more funcions like EMERG LIGHTS, ENG MAN START, FIRE TEST, AGENT DISCHARGES, HYD PANEL

- clock -

The clock starts inmediatly when you start the airplane and should start the ET when you lift off

- stby horizon -

it cannot read the baro select. to set the alt you have to set via command on keyboard (B)

Im sure i am forgetting few some bugs, love to hear about these from LVFR and if you are working on fixing them and adding some functions.
My final opinions, it is that it is a very young version and there are a lot to fixed and improve.

Thanks

Most of all of this will be addressed with the avionics update which we are working now and fully committed to finishing.

Thanks for your answer, when do you estimate to launch an update?
