A340-300 V1.0.1 Pitch even more sensitive than before

Post by Aviator_Kevin_HD » Fri May 17, 2024 9:04 pm

Dear LatinVFR support,

A friend of mine was doing a livestream on YouTube in the LatinVFR A340-300 after the update and he had severe issues during the landing with the pitch sensitivity. It's extremely wobbly, sensitive and much too agressive, the pitch is not stable at all and keeps pitching up and down, when holding the sidestick in a neutral position or in a down input.

The pitch behaviour is so unstable, that he even needed to push the plane onto the ground, as the pitch wanted to pull up all the time. If the pitch momentum was much more stable and more sluggish, like an A340-300 would behave without these wobbles in between, it would be perfect. The movement of the pitch needs to be more fluent and needs some polishing.

Here is the video where you can see the issue: https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxbxvJ0W5Gbz ... ure=shared

Hopefully this can be fixed.

Yeah we are working now for the second update. We did not have sufficent time to test changes on the flight model for the first but for the second update this should be improved completely.

My apologies in the meantime.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your hard work. May you also remove these stickshaker effects in low speed conditions when climbing out during take-off? This rattling sound is not really accurate and pretty unrealistic. Airbus doesn't make use of stickshakers, this feature is mostly used on Boeing aircraft and aircraft with a yoke.

There is another bug, when leaving the cockpit and doing a walkaround outside and you switch into the cockpit view again, the plane makes a small jump and drops onto it's wheels again, the same occurs when loading the aircraft with heavier weights.

Sometimes it also happens that the A340-300 stalls randomly during cruise. You cruise on FL360 with Mach .82 across the Atlantic Ocean and suddenly the speed drops without any specific reason for that and the aircraft stalls.

If you could fíx these things in the next update, that would be great. You can watch this livestream and find all the issues that need some improvement here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtjAQERrNqU

Also I have another question that doesn't have to do with the current bugs of the A340-300:

Your A340-300 is out there on the market for quite some time now, but only in the marketplace, unfortunately. The marketplace is good, but for existing LatinVFR customers it's much more convenient to buy this amazing aircraft in your own LatinVFR webshop, where the customer has all his other orders/purchased products saved in his account.

The problem with the marketplace is, that you recieve absolutely no reciept/bill with the purchased product on it (there is no proof of purchase in the marketplace). Just the regular Microsoft Credits, as the order system in the marketplace works like that. Also there is absolutely no order number and you can't even manage your orders in the marketplace.

Your own LatinVFR webshop, where you sell the A330-900 Neo for example, is much better and more convenient for the customer, you have an overview about your orders and can manage them with their specific installers, order numbers etc. and you have the ability to even print them out.

I read that the decision, when the A340-300 is going to be available in your own webshop wasn't taken yet, but may I get to know how much longer this time span is going to be? Many customers like me would really like to enjoy the beauty of the newly released A340-300, as it is a wonderful and unique aircraft, but the marketplace isn't really an option in this case.

The A330-900 Neo was also available on the second day after release, would love to see the A340-300 in your own LatinVFR webshop as well.

Hi, lots to unpack here, let me get to the first points which you raise.

What mod do you use that simulate stick shaker? because without any mods we don't get this, nor any stalls at cruise. Lets start with that and let us know

The issue with the stickshaker seems to be solved. When using FSRealistic Pro (which adds realism effects to the aircraft), it interferes with the LatinVFR A340-300 and this can lead to some unwanted effects and appearings.

There are no mods, third party weather engines etc. installed. Just the LatinVFR A340-300, some sceneries and some other add-on aircraft. The random stalls are pretty rare, but sometimes they occur during cruise, as the speed randomly drops straight down to 0 without prior notice. The cruising power is stable, the cruising speed is for example at Mach. 82 on FL360 and suddenly the speed tape shows 0 kts and the aircraft stalls. (It's not possible to reproduce this issue unfortunately, it's pretty rare)

The random stalls don't seem to be that much of an issue, as they are pretty rare and not reproducable. (In this case the stall happened during the descend at around 6000 ft at a speed of 250 kts, directly after the sim froze for a second) Here is a clip of the issue: https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx61ie0NXIR2 ... ure=shared

But there is another thing, which would be great, if you could fix it. As soon as you have to fly multiple directs or shortcuts delegated by ATC and insert them into your MCDU, the other half of the flightplan gets deleted and the aircraft detects the waypoint you want to fly the direct to as the destination and replaces the destination airport with the direct instead. This issue also seems to occur in the A330-900 Neo.

The same issue also occurs when having to change the SID/STAR multiple times, due to RWY changes. The plane is confused about the changes and messes up the whole flightplan. Then you need to switch into the HDG Mode and reenter the whole flightplan including the SID/STAR again, in order to continue without any issues.

As soon as you make too many changes to your flightplan by changing the SID/STAR or when flying multiple directs/shortcuts, this issue occurs. It's pretty easy to reproduce this issue, but I think that has to do with the default Asobo avionics/behaviour.

In the load manager in the EFB there is also a small bug. When entering the fuel for example, the aircraft always adds a few extra tonns on top (at least 20-30 tonns), even though you don't want them to be loaded. The same happens when entering the cargo or other values. There is always a huge amount of extra load added by the aircraft by itself.

Another issue seems to be, when "walking out of the aircraft" with your camera to do the walkaround and go back into the cockpit by changing the view, the aircraft jumps into the air and drops back onto the ground, this leads to a pretty large bounce for some reason.

Another question (which doesn't have to do with bugs), is your beautiful A340-300 going to be available in the LatinVFR Webshop soon?

Hi, will keep note of the things you mention, but most of the nav issues you have are going to be completely fixed with the avionics update.

As for the A340-300 on our shop, not yet, but it will be there eventually.

That sounds great! Will your beautiful A340-300 also be available at Simmarket or only in your own LatinVFR Webshop?

Eventually on the shop. But if you already have it, why would you want it in simmarket or the shop?

I haven't bought the LatinVFR A340-300 yet. I'm waiting for the next update (update 2) to release and my plan is to wait until it is available in the LatinVFR Webshop or at Simmarket, where I have all my other LatinVFR orders stored.

The bugs I reported are by a friend of mine, who has the LatinVFR A340-300 and makes livestreams on YouTube with it (Chrisi77W). I discovered all of these bugs in the livestream by him and he also told me about the bugs, which still need some improvement.

Anyways, as soon as it is available in your own LatinVFR webshop or at Simmarket, I'm definitely going to buy this beauty. :D
