Second update?
Re: Second update?
Great news and hopefully we get the update next week. Any rough idea when the nav update will come? One thing that is really missing is the fact it ignores altitude constraints during climb and descent. You also mentioned that trim and flap settings are coming with the updated efb, any idea when that will be released? In the mean time can aim auto trim be used as a workaround to having no trim calculator available?

Re: Second update?
The nav is coming with the avionics update.
The EFB update should be coming soon, I will hope this month.
We are hoping to get the avionics/cdu things done as the A340 release depends on that. We might have this by the end of December.
As for the trim, in the meantime look at the ZFWCG value and set it trim based on that, on the trim wheel you can see the CG value.

That's good news.
Thanks for the tip on the trim. I completely forgot about that! I use that when flying the Fenix

Re: Second update?
The only figure available to use for the trim is the GWCG. There is no ZFWCG that I can see..? If I use the GWCG figure the plane still wants to rotate at 100 knots so that figure does not work..RicardoLVFR wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 2:47 pmThe nav is coming with the avionics update.

Yeah sorry the GWCG figure, with the second update the aircraft won't rotate early we fixed the aerodynamics.COT_87 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 9:32 amThe only figure available to use for the trim is the GWCG. Re: Second update?
Thank you. I completed my flight today non the less. The plane doesn't feel like it has much inertia. After touch down it seems to stop incredibly quickly. I was using reverse thrust and auto brakes 1 and it stopped like an empty atr is it possible to enhance the flight dynamics to make it feel more substantial?

The aircraft is getting an aerodynamics update with the 2nd update.COT_87 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 12:11 pmThank you. I completed my flight today non the less. However in real life the A330 has a lot of drag with flaps fully extended and reverse thrust. We can try to see more or less what we can tweak but based on this video, I calculated with google earth a stopping distance of 1276 meters, less than 4,000+ feet of runway from touchdown to taxi speed https://youtu.be/1w2yUU7bIiQ?si=UDLaCqF2o5VCNCrA
So we are more or less in range. Also auto brakes are mostly set on 1. And idle reverse. The second update on the ground thrust will behave differently.

- Nose gear steering on the ground improved. -
Hello everyone, are you sure it has been improved? In my opinion, nothing has really improved there.
When cornering on the taxiways, it feels like you're on ice.

Re: Second update?
Yeah it may be difficult as its very different to the way the A320 moves on the ground. But turns need to be done slow speeds.
We will see again what else can we do for the 3rd update
