Frame drops LEMD

Hi
I newly bought LEMD and it looks really really good but somehow I'm getting pretty significant FPS drops.
At other airports like Frankfurt which are known to be really hard on performance I get quite stable 30FPS.
At LEMD my FPS are dropping down to 15, and it's not like they're constantly at 15FPS but they're switching between 30 and 15 so they go up and down permanently which makes it even more annoying than having constant 15FPS
I don't know if that has something to do with the use of PBR materials because at other PBR airport like Dublin or Lisbon from MK I'm experiencing the exact same. At non-PBR airports I'm having good 30FPS so that's quite weird.
So is there any known reason that could cause that or do you have a non PBR Version of LEMD?

Greetings
Florian

Yes, PBR airports depending on your settings you might experience this. Have you tried any of the suggestions we asked on the manual?

Yes I did, but dynamic reflections are set to low, shadow quality is low and texture resolution is 2048.
I have a 4K Monitor, coulf that be the Problem?
While testing I also found out that when loading a flight at LEMD I don't get any performaance issues and when arriving at the airport I do get them.

Here are my settings:

So I've continued testing and what I can saay is that I am not getting these frame issues withe Fslabs A321.
But when trying the A320 I get those frame drops, the only difference between those two planes is that the A321 has PBR the A320 doesn't.
Do you have any idea why that could make a difference?

Hi, PBR does have an effect, email us to support(at)latinvfr.com and we can send you some files to test LEMD without PBR.

Hi there, I am having similar problem - I usually get 30fps (locked) at every major European add-on (LFPG, EHAM, LPPT, EGLL, EDDF, EIDW) including PBR ones (except in bad weather it drop 5-7) but in clear skies LEMD I am only getting around 15. Doesn't matter if starting at LEMD or flying in, and on all aircraft types (tried F22, R22, Aerosoft A320 Pro).

My settings are similar to OP's above, and I think system is similar (i7-9770K @ 5MHz, 16GB, GTX 1660 Super 6GB, 4K monitor).

I attach a couple of posts on a test flight where the FPS drop was immediate (around 20nm from LEMD) as the scenery loaded. I am not an expert but I wonder if the jump in use of RAM (GPU and CPU) is linked to it, am I hitting a limit and the PC is having to use SDD space?).

I tried no shadows, 2048 textures, and my reflections are already LOW.

Thanks David

Tried the non-PBR files and no effect. Tried putting all sliders down (autogen, texture detail etc) no effect. Uninstalled back to default (which is actually an ORBX enhanced default) and back up to 30fps. Re-installed and manually set all OrbX LEMD files to .off and no effect, still 7-20 fps with unusable stutter.

As soon as I take off and get out of line of sight of the scenery it jumps back to 30fps, but turn back to see scenery and down to around 15.

I am out of ideas and may have permanently uninstall....help!

Hi, did you try and untick some of the options in the scenery configurator? that might help with FPS significnatly if you unselect some options. let me know

Hi yes I tried that, unticking everything except main airport, no static aircraft, city scenery etc - no improvement.

I do notice that the disk space used for LEMD is way bigger than any of my other sceneries:

LEMD: 5.2Gb

AS EDDF: 3.4Gb
JS EBBR: 3.2Gb
MK EIDW: 3.2Gb
T2G LFPG: 2.5Gb
JS LPPT: 1.9Gb
AS LSZH: 1.7Gb
JS LFMN: 0.9Gb
All UK2000 sceneries: 0.2-0.6Gb

Could it be something like my video RAM (6Gb) or main RAM (16Gb) maxing out and unable to load all the scenery so going to a swapfile (I am not an expert!).

Thanks
