Barcelona Ground Markings Disappear

Post by Captain Lars » Sun Jul 31, 2022 11:39 pm

Hi,

when arriving at Barcelona LEBL, typically at runway 07L, taxiing towards the stand at Terminal 1 via taxiways E & J, the ground markings of the whole apron area of Terminal 1 disappear as soon as I taxi past approximately the 'tip' of the terminal building, that is after this 45° 'bend' from taxiway E3 to J5:

You can see that the taxiway markings are still there, whereas the markings of the apron area are gone.

In this set of images you can see that from a bit of altitude, the markings partly appear, depeding on angle and distance:

This is the second time I encountered this behaviour, it was the same when I arrived in the 737. There's no difference depending on whether you use PTA altered shaders or standard shaders. When loading up the flight at Terminal 1, the markings are present again.

Needless to say it's a bit akward to taxi in without markings. I hope you can help me to resolve this. Sim is P3D 4.5 HF2.

I wonder if anything could be done about this?

I have not seen this myself, we will look into it.

It's difficult to reproduce since you have to start outside of the airport (on approach typically) for this effect to take place. Thank you very much for having a look at it.
