KFLL hill

Post by jfwharton » Thu Jul 06, 2023 7:55 pm

I recently purchased the LVFR KFLL airport for P3D and noticed a hill at the approach end of 28L. I have ORBX scenery installed. Have disabled the underlying KFLL for ORBX True Earth Florida with no change to the hill. Turned off OpenLC North America, no change. Turned off ORBX True Earth Florida and the hill went away. Wondering if anyone else has seen this and can advise on what to disable to get rid of the hill at the approach end of 28L.

Also, when I select 28L for the LVFR KFLL airport it puts me on the taxiway half way down the runway, not at the approach end of 28L.

I thought I had attached a screenshot to my first post. Let me try this again. When I attach a jpg or a png file and preview the website deletes my attachment. So how to I attach a screenshot?

Can you install the non slope runway KFLL version?

I was having trouble with KFLL interacting with the LVFR KMIA I have installed. To solve that issue I installed the non-pbr non sloped versions of both but I'll uninstall the non-pbr version of KFLL and try the standard version to see what that does.

I have good news and bad news. Installing the standard installer fixed the hill issue at the end of the runway. Unfortunately now flying at that airports locks up my simulator. I ended up reinstalling the non-pbr version and will unfortunatlely have to put up with the hill for the time being. Thank you for the suggestion. It's a shame it didn't work out. I had everything unchecked in the standard installation and it still locked up my simulator.

It would seem that the runway in the non-pbr non-slope installer is not long enough to cover the underlying runway overrun at the approach end of 28L. Does anyone have any ideas how I could get the standard installer to work without locking up my simulator? I'm running P3D v.5.4.

so the non-slope/pbr is causing similar issues as shown in the picture?
