Incorrect flight phases

Post by Augustas » Thu Aug 03, 2023 6:00 pm

Hello, there is a bug about flight phases. First flight from cold and dark looks good and flight phases are according to the plan. But then I land and park the aircraft, I want to do another flight without going to main menu. And then I enter Departing/Arriving airport’s ICAO’S in INIT. page, PFD restarts for few seconds or minutes and then again goes back to ROLLOUT phase. This bug makes takeoff very hard, without knowledge when to lower thrust and similar things. So I just can’t do turnaround flight. This bug appeared after latest update, before that update, everything was fine with turnaround flight. Maybe some advices how to avoid this situation. Thanks.

Unfortunately, due to the way the simulator is set up, there really is no way to really do an actual turnaround flight. However there are other products that have implemented this as a feature (Fenix, Leonardo). We will look into this a possible feature further into the future at a later time.

Ok, it’s just strange because earlier I just filled ICAOS of the airports in INIT. page and all PFD and FMC restarted for the turnaround flight without problems. Anyway, thanks for reply.

Actually, today the flight phases are wrong from the first cold and dark flight. I fill up the flight plan into FMC and then I taxi to runway and everything is fine but when I cross runway hold short, in PFD it turns to ROLLOUT phase, what is absolutely wrong. So, today I can’t do even single flight with normal flight phases. I tried with A319, A320 and A321, and every time same. Aircrafts became useless for me. By the way, I’m Xbox user.

So, what to do? I also noticed that this happens only when I enter flight plan to FMC, when I leave FMC empty, it goes normal. But it is just impossible to do normal IFR flight with not filled FMC. Anyone experiencing this problem who uses Xbox?

We gonna check into this. We suggest you post on the support forums of these airplanes in regards to issues.

I have the same thing when entering information into the Mcdu for instant my flight route it change my phase to descent and I now can’t enter performances and it ruins the autopilot

Since this last update I have had consistent issues with the PERF flight phase changing from TAKE OFF to either DSC or APPR phase while taxing to runway for departure. Very annoying as this clears the entered take off V speeds and renders the autopilot unusable in Managed mode. I have experimented trying to discern if any pre takeoff single action triggers this (i.e., setting of takeoff flaps, auto brake, arming spoiler, etc) to no avail, the FMC seems to just revert to DSC or APPR mode randomly on taxi. Very frustrating- never had issues with this on the LVFR Airbus aircraft prior to this recent update. If anyone has had same issue and resolved it, please advise! I use MSFS on XBox.

These things are being corrected as we speak. And most fixed too.

We are gearing up for a significant update on the A32x family, which the details will come very soon. But it will fix most if not, all the significant issues mentioned.

Our apologies in the meantime

Thanks- I actually had no issues last night, hoping that the glitch is repaired!
