Fuel Consumption

Post by wok_lord » Fri May 10, 2024 1:07 pm

Hi there,

I just completed a short-haul flight and the fuel consumption was around 8.2 tons per hour. This seems a bit excessive and resembles the consumption of an A340-600, not-300. Especially when the aircraft is this light. Any plans to check this?
TOW was 181t and CRZ FL 390.

for the first update this is improved significantly. We ask you use the LatinVFR A340 simbrief profile in the meantime for fuel planning purposes.

Hi there, I'm having an issue with fuel as well. However for me it is that when it comes time to transfer the tail tank the fuel seems to go to the right inner instead of both left and right. All my pumps are on, I tried multiple cross feed solutions but to no avail. Can you please help?

That's something else that we are looking at, and its very random we don't know why. We will check it out.

Thank you for the update, otherwise I'm loving the aircraft.

Just flew a long distance leg, KLAX-RPLC, fuel consumption and auto transfer seem to be fixed with the update. Thank you.

You need to select the LVFR A340 from the A340-300 list as we have more accurate fuel.

Also on that OFP you seem to have 19,000 as initial cruise and that affects fuel calculations.

Simbrief selected 19,000 for me, is that a SB issue then?

They did, probably based on an altitude constraint. its an SB issue, it happens lots of time.
