A340 TRIM ISSUE
There are 2 important issues...at the time of taking off the airplane needs the joystick to be fully backwards in order to rotate...and at the time of landing, the airplane makes an auto flare at 5 gpws without any reason, as in a autland while im in manual landing!

Re: A340 TRIM ISSUE
Hello! I have flown many times without this issue. I normally like to takeoff flaps 2 and trim 2. No issues taking off before end of rwy 32R (9921 ft) at LFBO. What trim and flap setting are you using?

Re: A340 TRIM ISSUE
I think that I'm having the same effect. For takeoff in my opinion it should be fixed. Maby the V-Speed calculation is wrong, but i have seen this behaviour where a high elevetor input is needed for takeoff also in some other LVFR aircraft.
The issue during landing might be the ground effect which is maby too high in this airplane. But i haven't looked at the control inputs if the airplane is doing something automatically during landing. It was just like pepo34300 descriped that the airplane is leveling off and you need to wait until the airspeed is slowing down to touch down.

Re: A340 TRIM ISSUE
Try 2/UP2. Trim accordingly after takeoff. Also, check the sensitivity of your controls as well. As I mentioned, I haven't had the same issue during takeoff, and I have flown this aircraft many times during testing.
I will pass this information on to Ricardo and see what can be done if you are still experiencing issues and believe it to not be a realistic representation of how it should behave.
I've added the table below referenced from the 'A340 Flight Deck and Systems Briefing For Pilots'.
If you would like to read more about an A340, check out the 'A340 Flight Deck and Systems Briefing For Pilots' here... https://issuu.com/skyhawkss/docs/airbus ... nd_systems

Re: A340 TRIM ISSUE
I tried the approach again and it really seems that the pitch trimm kicks in and puts +1 degree on the pitch automatically without any inputs of myself DURING the flare phase / near ground. So i would assume it is not ONLY the ground effect.
This is also reported by some other users who did some reviews of that airplane on youtube.
During all the flare phases the aircraft is not controllable anymore regarding pitch, so the user is not possible to control the flare anymore for a short time period.
For me this is really a big issue :/ as the landing is the most funny and challenging part of the flight but if the landing always is like that with that "automatic flare" it is not funny at all.
Please inform me if there are some setting i missed to disable that flare phase.

Re: A340 TRIM ISSUE
+1 On this, the plane flares by itself when you reach ~20 which makes any landing terrible, this shouldn't happen as autoland is not enabled.
Re: A340 TRIM ISSUE
+1 here, experienced the same thing

Re: A340 TRIM ISSUE
Thanks for bringing up this issue! We'll definitely look into it and see what can be done.
