A319 AP Switches From CLB to DES During Initial Climb

Set up INIT, PREF, Load SID with constraints, set initial altitude, take off, gear up, engage AP in manged mode. Set climb detent, Aircraft climbs as expected in CLB, NAV, LVR CLB managed modes. Set next higher altitude and engage managed altitude, aircraft immediately switches to DES and levels. Aircraft won't resume climb unless altitude set to selected to get Open Climb.

Xbox Series X, can't replicate in A320Neo.
