A321 Neo wing panels and UV MAPs

Post by aniiran » Sun Aug 07, 2022 11:35 pm

Hi LVFR,
I have a lot of your products and always look forward to an new product from you guys. Interesting that you guys are doing things outside of your comfort zone.

I thought I would give the A321 a shot but I have 2 major issues that I believe should be corrected.

1. The wing panels for the ailerons are disjointed skewed and bleeding through the wing. We aren't asking for study level but this should have been caught in beta testing. you know how popular wing views are.

2. The UV map is making it impossible for us to paint the aircraft tail properly. It leaves blocks and messes up the transition between the rudder and the vertical stab.

Thank you and your team for taking our requests seriously.

The wing panels look much better now but there are still a few things off. Someone else had mentioned that the flaps are set in too far.

I'm getting bleed through of the pylons underneath the flaps on both wings with flaps between 0 and 2.

Would appreciate if some one beta tested the wings in all flap and spoiler position with max and min fuel.

I know I'm a pain but I really think this could be a great addon with just a little more tweaking.

Could you guys look at that missing link between the wing and the inboard flap on the right wing?

Also, as the flap come up they go through the spoilers a little especially on the left side of the jet.

Also, I was wondering if you could add PBR to the spoilers. here is a real life picture showing on newer planes and Neos the spoilers should be glossy.... The same gloss as the wing in my humble opinion.

On jets with masked cockpit windows there is a strange white border on the aft most cockpit window on both sides. The red on the wing is just to show there is no reflective property to the spoilers.

Then of course the white lines in the paint from the other thread. The TAP livery has a rather large white line going through TAP.

As for spoilers being glossy, that would depend if the aircraft is brand new or clean, as you can see in this video,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIWEUimyf1k

we might make them a bit more glossy though, but not as what you shown on the picture.

4 more issues I noticed but I'm sure some of them have been reported by others.

Flaps Mismatch between inboard and outboard especially when the flaps are up on the left wing. Seems the flap is placed too high because it goes through the spoiler as it goes from full to 0. It looks better when down but there is still quite a bit of mismatch.

https://i.ibb.co/K6vxDcv/leftwingflapmismatch.jpg

The aft most cockpit windows have some sort of strange anomaly on them. see pic. Small but still odd.

https://i.ibb.co/Mpyn40m/cockpitwindows.jpg

Both the left side and the right side of the vertical stabilizer on the Hawaiian repaint have over lap between the stab and the rudder.

https://i.ibb.co/0fNBSXM/leftsideofhawaiian.jpg

I did some more testing on the mip maps and the white lines. I was wrong, it gets better the closer you get and much much worse the further away you get. It's still visible at all times. I noticed that all the repaints that were done on flightsim.to do not have this issue. Specifically, the best example is the Banderia Azul repaint by by VANFIPE since the entire airplane is blue, but does not show these white lines.

Thanks in advance.

How can some go about getting on the beta testing team?

Also, I noticed that the jet lands flat (front wheels first or at the same time) when you look at the replay, it's hard to flare it unless you get down to an unrealistic speed. Has anyone brought this up?

Also, is the A319 going to have proper doors that can be controlled for GSX?

I saw that you guys have painted the America West heritage livery on Facebook, that's Great!
