Low FPS at KSAN MSFS

Hi, I just got the new KSAN scenery for MSFS and I am getting horrible performance really on the east side of the airport. When I pan the camera east when my position is at the Southwest Airlines terminal, I get maybe 10-20 fps. At that same location panning the camera west I get my usual 40-50fps. I'm wondering if this is a known issue that anyone else is experiencing and is being looked at. Thanks.

Hi, this is odd, anyone else experiencing this?

Still having this issue. It seems to be around the south big parking lot east of the southwest airlines terminals and hangers. Not sure whats causing it but its extremely annoying. I zoom in on it and I get better fps but zooming out to normal camera thats where I get very bad fps. I'm running in 4K. That might have something to do with it. Please help!

hi, if you de-activate or uninstall KSAN would this happen at the default KSAN?

No this did not happen at the default KSAN. However, uninstalling it and reinstalling gave me a little bit better performance. It still has some 'patchy' fps drops taxiing and flying around near the airport.

I've noticed the significant drop in frames, but I attributed it to the fact that there's so much going on in the scenery that it's normal for it to drop. I did get one time that it was literally almost freezing, but exiting the game and reentering fixed it.

I have the same problem: with the LVFR version of KSAN purchased through MSFS Marketplace, I get about 1/3 to 1/2 of the frame rate I do when I uninstall it and use the standard edition KSAN.
This makes flying around downtown San Diego completely unplayable.
I had hoped that upgrading my graphics card from a GTX 1060 to an RTX 2070 would improve things but it doesn't -- it simply gives me the same precipitous fps drop at 4K instead of at 1080p.
I'm uninstalling again, and I've given a one-star rating in the Marketplace. If there were a way to leave a review I would specifically say it was due to the unacceptably low performance.
Rig:
* Ryzen 3700X
* 32 GB RAM
* NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super, 8 GB VRAM
* 3840x2160 base resolution
* 80% render scaling
* high-end settings
Previously tried with the old card:
* NVIDIA GTX 1060, 3GB VRAM
* 1920x1080 base resolution
* 100% render scaling
* medium settings
Both give really low stuttery frame rates at KSAN and around downtown San Diego, in any plane I've tried including the C172/G1000 and others.
Uninstalling the custom airport immediately restores frame rates from ~10-15 to ~30. Reinstalling drops them right back.

Hi, this is very strange, what other addon airports you have, and how are your frame rates in KLAX which is a customized airport?

The only other non-Asobo-provided airport I regularly use is KPDX (from the add-on in the Marketplace), which runs fine for me.
At KLAX, spawning on runway in A320neo with clear skies, no traffic, and approximately noon local time I currently get 27-29fps at high-end settings, 4K at 90% render scaling.

Hold on, this is interesting. To gather some more benchmarking data, I reinstalled the KSAN customization in Content Manager, and now I'm *not* getting the slowdown -- I see 27-31 fps, as I expect on other airports.
The only major change I've made since earlier this week was to my system RAM speed. My homebuilt PC had been accidentally left on DDR4 2133 default configuration instead of loading the XMP settings for the DDR4 3200 RAM. This did slightly increase my fps in CPU-limited areas, but it didn't make this big a difference anywhere else.
Just to double-check, I'm going to try reversing that config change and see if I get the slowdown again, or if we can chalk it up to "mysteeeeeeeroius MSFS content manager bugs"
(If I can get it reliably running at good frame rate it looks nice so I'll be happy to change my rating!)
