KMIA possible... memory leak?
KMIA possible... memory leak?
Hi all,
Long time user of many sceneries from LVFR... I am amazed the amount of VRAM that MIA uses.
2070 Super vid card with 8GB available, about 1GB used by the OS.
NGXu, with just moderate settings, barely a cloud, but as soon as I look around the scenery, even just left and right, the VRAM usage shoots up by 1GB or more, and I already resized all the KMIA textures to a lower resolution using Ordenator. Is this perhaps a SODE object issue? Is it just this heavy on the VRAM?
This is also with FLL disabled.

Same here. With P3D 5.2 and now 5.3.
Had to uncheck everything except City Scenery and Downtown Buildings.
The only scenery I am having an issue with.

Same here, its unflyable even with 1024x1024 resolution.
No other scenery in P3D has the same hit on VRAM.
@Ricardo is there a way you can reduce all textures quality to be able to make the airport flyable at a higher resolution or fix the VRAM issue even at 1024x1024?

Re: KMIA possible... memory leak?
The solution is the non-pbr version, can you try that one?

So what you mention is a memory leak but not a CTD?citation79 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 8:16 pmHi Ricardo I am using the non PBR version and get the same issue.

Re: KMIA possible... memory leak?
I got the NVIDIA error, not a CTD, but the VRAM maxed out.
At 1024x1024, and same settings at 5.2 with latest patch.

Re: KMIA possible... memory leak?
Hi, it seems this issue has gotten worse with 5.3. Kind of stabilized before this version, on another thread I got reports of the same issue. I will look into why there are worse VRAM issues with 5.3. Will check on the Lockheed forum. My apologies
