Hi guys,

With P3d V5 my FPS take a severe hit at KFLL. I found this thread from June of last year pointing to an issue with the FLL_elevrwy.BGL file: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=579&start=30

In that thread, v1.1 is said to include a fix for this issue. I purchased from Simmarket in December 2020 and downloaded the non-PBR version. As you can see in the attached picture the installer is version 1.1 for v5, yet the BGL file was last updated in March of 2020. The thread says the update should have been in July of 2020.

I found that if I disable this BGL my FPS issues are completely solved, but 10R/28L are a mess with artifacts and a flat runway with elevated taxiways. I'm wondering if I can get the fixed BGL that fixes the FPS issue as posted in that thread?

Thank you!

Kyle
Hi guys,

I've the same issues, very low fps with any aircrafts.
I have downloaded the non PBR version 1.1 from my account but i still have problems.
I also write you an email but you did not answer me.
Like other users if i rename to .off this file FLL_elevrwy.BGL the fps problems are gone but then there is no more slope runway.

It is possible to have the BGL that you sent to some users in this post viewtopic.php?f=12&t=579&start=30 ?

Thank you very much,
Riccardo
Hi, which file? in that link I see a mention of an installer. Let me know

Hi,

Thank you for the answer.

You said "I will soon try to send you another file to test with the platforms, we will try to further optimize it the most we can. Will let you know".
I don't know if you integrated this file in the installer, but in the latest, v.1.1 i still have fps issues.

Let me know,
Regards,
Riccardo

I really hope progress is made on FLL performance, as well as the bumpy sloped surface. I would personally really like the option to just have the airport use the default/flat terrain since P3D seems to still not handle sloped runways well.

Hi, the aircraft in FSX/P3d have been designed to run on flat ground, unlike MSFS.

This will cause issues when you are going down and up slopes. Nothing much we can do in regards to bumpy.

As for the scenery being flat, it will mean to do most of it from scratch. Email us for a specific solution.

I'd certainly be interested in a flatten option as well. I'm not a fan of P3D sloped runways, and FLL is a killer on FPS on my system; from my own limited experimentation, it seems related to that runway. So even if it's a partial improvement to performance, it's most welcome in my book.

most likely the problem is in this file: FLL_elevrwy.BGL, you just open it with the mcx tool and you get a noticeable drop in fps...
I met this once in a problem model from Flytampa,
but after a few reports about this problem it was fixed and there is no more fps drops problem ;)

That sounds similar to that I'm seeing, yes.

Hi, we can offer you to remove that file, but that runway won't be usable. Let us know
