KFLL elevation issues?

Post by Mobu86 » Sat Nov 14, 2020 6:23 pm

Hi,

Are there any known elevation issues with KFLL? I was trying to land on 10L when at around 5ft I just smashed into the ground. Then the aircraft "bounced" several times until I left the runway and entered the taxiway/apron area. In replay mode the wheels seem to not touch the ground and one milisecond later they are again touching it. Just bought KFLL so it must be the latest version. No issues with KMIA which I have installed too.

Thanks!
Moritz

10 L is not the sloped runway so you weren't landing on that one.

There is an overall issue with Prepar3d not related to our scenery that depending on the airport you come in from and the difference in elevation might cause this. Can you try to takeoff from lets say KPBI/KMIA and land back at KFLL to see if you get the same problem?

Hi Ricardo,

no issues when flying from KPBI.

The previous flight I have experienced the issues with was from FlyTAmpa TNCM. It would be a pity honestly if this issue is correlated with the departure origin. If this is true this would be limiting the potential routes I can fly to KFLL which is making your scenery useless to a certain extent. Have you addressed this problem to LM already or do you see any potential workaround?

Regards
Moritz

Hi, this happens to all airports in the world, not only addon nor mines but all. Lockheed Martin was addressing this issue, and don't know their current status, but will ask.

My apologies for this but this is something totally out of my control and it will not only happen at my airport but others.
